Little Black Village’s mission is to promote higher education, personal development, and international exposure for African-Americans and African-American youth. Therefore we are working on several programs that would directly impact in each area mentioned above.
One of our current programs is the Youth Passport Project. The Passport Project initiative was created to help encourage our youth to consider doing study aboard program and take advantage of programs that can gain them international exposure, and thereby becoming a more worldly young citizen through international exposure. The initiative goes a step further by awarding those that we can the complete fee of the application of the US passport which is just the first step to international travel. We also hope to reward up to two African-American students scholarships that would defray the cost or contribute to the cost of a study aboard program at their school. The program will be available throughout the year.
We hope to share with you about our upcoming programs that impacts higher education as well as personal development.
