Word of the Day: Dislocated

Word of the Day: Dislocated

Disruption of normal placement, arrangement, or relationship

By Syretta Jones

Do you feel as though you have been dislocated in life?  It’s naturally normal if you do. There are times when you may feel as though no one understands you, no one cares about you and the world does not even know you exist, but always remember that you can chose to become located in a dislocated world. Live Out Loud and reach for the stars.

Stop worrying about how dark your skin is and celebrate the rich color you were given.

Stop trying to please others to gain their approval and unruly friendship

Stop worrying -There’s no need to find your spouse’s passwords to see firsthand what you already know

Stop dressing like the person you wish you were and use the creativity you have to dress like you

Stop wearing the latest hair trends to fit in when you know they aren’t displaying the image you want to portray

Stop hurting yourself because you feel the only way to feel something it by cutting yourself

Stop taking life for granted and know that time is not always on your side

Stop letting life pass you by and start Living Out Loud!!!!

Start being the best you, you can be

Start telling yourself that you are beautiful, smart, intelligent, kind, loving, worthy and everything that’s good

Start focusing on the things that will propel your steps towards achievement

Start focusing on your career

Start the steps to finish school

Start taking better care of yourself

Start spending time with your children (or you can volunteer at a group home or after school program providing you do not have any children at the moment-It’s a great way to give back and to prepare for your parenting days)

Start being true to yourself and people will begin to like you for who you are and not for want to be like
