Word of the Day

Word of the Day: Submerge

Word of the Day: Submerge

By Syretta Jones

Submerge – Sink, Plunge, Engulf, Go Under Water, Flood

Feel like you’re on a sinking ship?

Are waters crashing against you

Gathering at the bottom of your safety net as if they are at an overcrowded conference

Too scared to glance down at your feet

Too scared to face reality

Everything’s surrounding you

Everybody says it’s temporary

Wondering when you’re going to break free

Hold on my beautiful brothers

Hold on my beautiful sisters

Don’t allow yourself to be swallowed by the waves of reality

You can make a stamp in this world, I guarantee

You can rise above the raging waters, you see

You can accomplish your dreams

Doors will open for you

Help is around the corner

A change is coming

A change is coming

A change is coming soon
