Minority Student Scholarships

Even if you do not have a college-aged child at home, please share this with someone who does, pass this scholarship information on to anyone and everyone that comes to mind. There are a number of companies and organizations that have donated monies for scholarships use to African-Americans, a great deal of the money is being returned because of a lack of interest.  Please pass this information on to family members, nieces, nephews, friends with children etc. We must get the word out that money is available. If you are a college student or getting ready to become one, you probably already know how useful additional money can be. Our youth really could use these scholarships.   (If clicking on the link does not work, copy and paste the URL in your web browser.)

Care more than others think wise;  risk more than others think safe;   dream more than others think practical;  expect more than others think possible;  work more than others think necessary.

“I learned a long time ago the wisest thing I can do is be on my own side, be an advocate for myself and others like me.  If I do that well enough, then I’ll be able to look after someone else–the children or the husband or the elderly.  But I have to look after myself first.  I know that some people think that’s being selfish, I think that’s being self-full.”  ~Dr. Maya Angelou
